The Show Will Go On

The other week a section of a tree fell in the middle of the stage at the Shakespeare in the Park festival, held every summer in Oakville. The tree crashed across the set and front rows 10 minutes before the 'doors' would've been open to allow people into those very seats. Luckily, as I spoke to the producer the morning after [when this picture was taken], only 3 plastic chairs were damaged in the unforseen splitting of this tree. The town had the set cleaned up in 8 hours and the show went on the following evening.
Weird, lucky, and a good time for a photo sesh.

ps. by the way this is the town workers cleaning up,

I'd rate that as a 3 under "poor branch attachment" - I've spent too much time with trees in the last few weeks (could've spotted that bad branch from Burlington!)
