Seen Through The Grass

Taken last weekend, not bee shooting much this week, just working 60 hours, so don't hate... I'll get some new images up soon, and that IS a promise!

Hope it's still okay!

Looking Up

No matter what happens, things will get better. Don't let go, and everything will work out if you keep your head held high...and smile.
I can write the words this photograph makes me think of, but can I live by them? Never say never.
Enjoy!

The Sky Was Haunting

This was the sky shortly after sunset up north in Emily, it was beautiful. I tried something new today and did a square crop, I thought it might be an interesting change this time. Let me know what you think of it.

Comfort With Kindness

This duck allowed me to get so close to her babies it was incredible. She trusted me enough to leave to look for food for them. A very neat experience I must say.
Hope you like it.

ps. this was shot with a focal length of 85mm - I was about 3 feet away from the ducks :)

A New Perspective

Tonight, I went out and climbed atop a local school building and started shooting. I also played around with high ISO settings, such as 1600 and 3200. This was a shot I enjoyed from the evening. Hope you do too.

Let me know what you think of this one!

Never Lonesome Shall We Be

I went out most of the afternoon, and spent some time shooting down by the lake. I got some neat shots, and these ones stood out. Hope you enjoy them.

This was an interesting rock set out in the water, I'd be interested to know who placed the smaller rocks on the large boulder, great idea, and fun subject to capture. I liked it, check it out at Coronation Park in Oakville.

Just a neat feather that caught my eye while walking back to the car after a long time of shooting.

let me know what you think...

Time Passes By

This man asked me for change downtown toronto yesterday, I gave him some and exchanged a few words; he kindly allowed me to photograph him and his dog. It was a very hot day, especially in the city.

Theres No Better Time Than Now

So, I've been nervous for a while now wanting to take photographs of people in their everyday lives without feeling like a creeper/stalker/paprazzi. I finally got up the nerve last night and asked this gentleman if I could photograph him down on the pier in Bronte Harbour. He was perfectly fine with it and since then I have asked a guy down in Toronto today if I could photograph him. I guess I just needed a kickstart - thanks Jenn!

This was the result - enjoy.

The Past Is An Introduction

Spent the afternoon playing with some old photos. Some days the sky is intriguing, that night it was to say the least. Shortly before this photo was taken the sky looked the colour of what I imagine mustard gas to be. Strange days...
Let me know what you think!

Ye 'ol Bridge

This was taken down by one of the many waterfalls in Waterdown, Ontario. Beautiful area, nice bridge, enjoyable time.

Actually, I spent the day with a friend crafting canoe paddles - mine is not done yet, his is...

This was taken down by the lake close to home when out photographing nature and it's ways. I quite enjoy the pose that the swan was captured in, makes for a good shot.

Early You Say

So, here's a story for everyone...
Normally I wake up at 4 or 5am to bike to work for 5 or 6am [depending
on the shift], and luckily I get some time off each week, monday being
my day off this week. Crazy me, woke up at 4:30AM to go photograph the
sunrise down by the harbour. My one day off, I don't sleep in....Well
the sky wasn't as nice as it is when I'm biking on days I DO work, but
this one came out alright.
Enjoy, ciao

An Outing For An Adventure

Today was my first outing to start thinking about an art show which I hope to be a part of. The Show will be based around a theme of the aesthetic downturn and constant development of an older, significant, section of town. The show will consist of photography among other mediums. I have been asked to give some artistic input. Today I was mostly searching for subjects, ideas and inspiration, but I came away with a few good shots, of which I picked these to update this site with.

The first is a nice shot of a bright yellow Datsun taken from the stairs on the boardwalk. It has nothing to do with my motive, but, nonetheless, I was happy quite with the image.
